Biography
Robert has been in practice since 1989 and gained notoriety as a frequent public speaker during the late nineties conducting seminars and classes for Metro Washington, DC residents and professional organizations. He has been quoted in local and national publications including The Washington Business Journal, and The Wall Street Journal, and has been a guest speaker on numerous radio programs throughout the Metro DC area. Robert is actively involved in several professional associations including The National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, The Financial Planning Association, and The National Association of Investment Professionals. Robert has completed graduate level classes in finance and law from Johns Hopkins University and The Irwin Graduate School at The American College. He also has a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Business from the State University of New York. Professional designations / credentials defined: Certified Financial Planner: This widely recognized designation is awarded to financial professionals that have fulfilled the experience, education, and comprehensive examination requirements of the CFP Board. All CFP licensees voluntarily submit to the regulatory authority of the CFP Board. The primary areas of concentration are retirement planning, investments, taxation, estate planning, and insurance. Annual continuing education is required. Chartered Financial Consultant: This designation is awarded to financial services professionals that have met business experience requirements, and passed 10 college level courses. The primary areas of concentration were insurance, risk analysis, taxation, economics, and other topics related to personal finance. Annual continuing education is mandatory. Accredited Estate Planner: This designation is awarded to Estate Planning practitioners by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC). Practitioners are required to pass graduate level courses grounded in law, trusts, taxation, and asset transfer strategies. Practitioners are also required to have a minimum experience of five years in the practice of estate planning. Annual continuing education is mandatory. |
